- My name is Verna and I have just started blogging. I used to publish fanzines back in the early '80s so this is a natural transition in a way. I began this blog because I wanted to get the word out about Flipper (SF band)and because I started writing a book about them a few years ago and never followed through.(yet). My hope is that fans old and new will find this blog and start posting, but even if they don't,at least I tried.
